x.project AG expands international business and ESG division

Real estate technology specialist further strengthens the team

The real estate specialists at x.project AG are expanding their international business segment and ESG area to include corresponding audits and reports. To that end, the company recently hired two more engineers, John Laymor Gardner and Alfredo Ascarrunz. In addition to ESG audits and reports, both will strengthen x.project’s international business in particular.

John Laymon Gardner is a Chicago native with both a degree in architecture from Frankfurt University of Applied Science and a Master of Building Sustainability from SRH University in Heidelberg, Germany. Already during his master studies he worked as an interior designer and project manager in various projects. Most recently, Gardner served as project manager for a prominent architectural firm in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

Alfredo Ascarrunz is a native of Chile and graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in the capital Santiago with a degree in civil engineering. Since moving to Germany in 2018, he has been studying at TU Berlin and is currently about to complete his Master of Building Sustainability. He also has some professional experience. This includes various positions as technical assistant and site manager in Chile.

Against the backdrop of the EU taxonomy, the need for ESG audits has almost exploded. The real estate industry, with its high consumption of resources, is the focus of European politics. Demand for ESG audits from our clients is correspondingly high, and we have massively expanded our business in this direction.

Holger Weber, board member and founder of x.project AG

The surge in demand has led x.project to continue to add personnel to the ESG team, as is currently the case with Gardner and Ascarrunz. In addition, the company is working on new ESG modules adapted to customer requirements. These can be seamlessly inserted into its interactive platform x.DD (now DOREE+), which has been on the market since December 2020, and combined with other building blocks.

The system combines, among other things, through intelligent and functional links, all technical aspects related to real estate management both in the portfolio, in the purchase and sale as well as in project development and soon also with a view to the ESG criteria.

We are very pleased to welcome two young civil engineers to our team. With them, we will expand our ESG business and at the same time strengthen our pan-European business.
